Portfolio Performance so far in 2023
I thought I’d take a quick look at how the Free Peter Lynch Portfolio was doing so far this year. Six months in and the S&P 500’s performance has been healthy. As of this date it’s up 18.97%.
In comparison the Free Peter Lynch Portfolio has been subdued. It’s down -5.12%. In calculating the performance I assumed that all of the names who’ve been on the list were purchased and held since January 1, 2023. Altogether the list has had 64 stocks at one point or another. Generally, the performance has been slightly negative for many of the names with a few exceptions like:
- Universal Insurance Holdings Inc (UVE) – up 45%
- Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc (APAM) – up 41%
- Boise Cascade Co (BCC) – up 45%
There’s no telling how the 2nd half of 2023 will turn out but I’m hoping there will be some gains. I think if energy and financials rally in the 2nd half the portfolio will improve.
However, the premium portfolio has seen some incredible gains. With several names over 60% and one hidden gem that’s gained over 170% this year. Be sure to check it out.
